With Loads of Love!

With Loads of Love

I made this card for my DH for Father's Day with one of the first sets of stamps that I ever bought from SU. Over the past few years I have used it often. I bought two others sets to go with this one and used the Loads of Fun with this for the trailer. I had so much fun making this. The coloring made me feel like a little kid again. I think that is one of the reasons I love making cards. I get to color.

The paper is from basic grey. I got to use my favorite tools of all time the Cuttlebug and nestabilities. I don't make too many cards since I bought the nestabilities that I don't use them on. I really like the look of it.

Well tomorrow is Friday again. I must say that I found this week went by pretty quickly. I hope it slows down for the weekend.

Enjoy your weekend!

What An Old "Kroner"

I bought this stamp a little while ago when me and my friend Kelly placed an order with Whipper Snapper. God love Kelly as she always asks me if I would like to place and order with her so we can save on the shipping. Works out well for both of us. We both love their stamps. This stamp is from their new spring collection and it is called “Kroner”. I needed some more masculine stamps and this one fit the bill perfectly. I do have others but I have not put them to the ink yet. I am hoping to really soon.

I made this card for my Dad for Fathers Day. It worked out so well. I got to use my favorite SU template the “Top” Note” it if one of my favorites. It is just so versatile.

The paper is from basic grey and it is colored with Copic markers. They definitely are my favorite coloring medium for awhile now. Before I got these I used to love my watercolored crayons but I have to say that the copics are just so nice and bright.

Just a short note tonight as I haven't even had supper yet and it is almost 10:00. DH is in the kitchen as we speak making us supper. God love him.

Will be back tomorrow night with another Father's Day card to show you. One that I made for my DH using one of my favorite and first SU sets Loads of Love.

Hope you all are enjoying your evening.

Take care

Tuesday, June 22

I am sorry that I haven't been back in awhile but I have been dealing with some things. I have been having alot of problem with numbness in my left arm. I find the more I use it the worse it gets. I had this before and it went away. I am really hoping that this time it will just go away also.

I hope you all are enjoying your summer. For us her in Newfoundland we really thought that the weather was improving Easter time as the temperatures were way above normal but it seems lately the only thing you can say about the weather is that it just sucks. We all long for such a nice summer when we can get together with friends and have bbq's etc and maybe even go for a nice walk. Hopefully before the summer is over we will get some weather that we can enjoy. I just hate being stuck inside. We do enough of that in the winter. Anyway, enough about the crappy weather. .

I bought this set at Saleabration time. This is the first time that I got to use it. I really like how the paper matches the stamp set. So nice when you can get things for free. I just love that. I made this card as a thank you card to give to my Dad for doing something really special for us . He really like it and I got a chance to do a bit more stamping as well. I actually got up on Father's Day at 7:20 in the morning and never came out of my stamproom until 11:30. I made three cards. Amazing how quickly time goes when you are working on cards. This is also the first time that I used the in color paper from SU. I really like them. I will be back again tomorrow with the first of two Father's Day cards that I made for my Dad and DH.

Enjoy your day !

Giant Bird Punch!

Back again. Wow! This is the third night in a row now. Feels good to be back at it again. Been way too long.

Guess we have all been through those times when you just can't seem to get back at it for one reason or another. Life just seems to get in the way. In my family May is pretty busy with birthdays. I even had one on the 15th.

I bought this punch a little while ago now and have wanted to use it every since. This design kept going around in my head and I am so glad to finally have it out. For two nights it was all I thought about going to sleep and even had trouble getting to sleep. Silly I know but so true.

I have to say that I really like these two colors together. They really go together I think. They are Rose Red and Certainly Celery. The new scallop punch but SU is so cute too. I found it so hard to resist buying it. I have the corner one too but haven't figured out how to use the two of them together yet.

I probably won't be back until Saturday so enjoy your weekend and I look forward to showing you something new then.

Take care

Cheers!

Staci's 17th Birthday!

I made this card for my daughter birthday yesterday. She just loves to go shopping so I thought this would be appropriate for sure. Not being a shopper myself this drives me nuts. She always wants to go looking around.

I have had this dp for awhile now and thought that it was quite fitting for this card. The bottom of the card is using one of the new SU plates. I found them hard to use in my cuttlebug. The sandwich is hard to figure. If anyone knows it would they please drop me a line. They are nice though.

Believe it or not my friends I actually have another card to show you tomorrow using the new Giant Bird Punch.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Cheers!

Dad's 75th Birthday!

I know that it has been a long time since I was here last. Hopefully I am back on a roll again and will keep at it. I have missed making cards and not making one for awhile too longer than before. I don't know how many pieces of paper that I ruined I got it right. Out of practic I guess. After you read this you must be thinking to yourself that she must be out of practice for taking pictures too. Yes I am. I am not at all pleased with how this picture turned out. It is a bit blurry. Don't you just hate that.

I was having trouble with the layout for this card so my dh helped me out with this one. He even helped me pick out the colors. Thanks Ev. Love you. I must have colored this card at least four times before I was happy with it. This card just had to be special. I made it for my Dad's 75th birthday. I was pleased with how it turned out and my Dad really liked it too. So the work was well worth it.

Hope you all enjoyed your long weekend if you were in Canada and this coming weekend for you all in the States. Enjoy.

I am back to work tomorrow. You know can't wait. Would rather have a tooth pulled. Oh well, like the old saying "I owe, I owe so off to work I go".

I will be back tomorrow night with another card that I made for my daughters birthday today.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Cheers

Whipper Snappers Hello Neighbor!

I bought this stamps set by Anna Wright from Whipper Snapper awhile ago now. I have used it before. It is called "Hello Neighbor". I bought it with the intention of making Thank You cards for my husbands business. He does house plans for people.
He likes to send thank you cards to I told him that I would use this set in some of his thank you cards. So far it has worked out well for me.

This card took me a long time to color as I was so picky that I kept doing it again and again. I think in all it took me two hours to get to this finished product. Way too long but it was a fun time. I have to admit. Coloring is just so realxing. I watercolored it with SU markers. I just love the colors. I actually was inspired to make this card from some examples that we received from Whipper Snapper when we placed our order. This card is alot like the sample but I added my own twist and used the cuttlebug for the background instead of dp. I have to say that I am pleased with how it turned out but I wish that I would have used my nesties on this one. I think they would have set it off wonderfully. Oh well maybe next time. I am sure that I will have more opportunities to use this set again.

I hope to get at some more cards the weekend.

Enjoy your weekend and take care

Graduation Time Again!

I made this card to give a friend of my dh as she got her degree at Memorial University doing night courses. It must be really hard working full time and getting a degree in the nights. Roma good for you girl!

This is another Whipper Snapper stamp that I bought awhile ago and never had a reason to use it until now. These stamps are just so fun to color. They are quickly becoming my favorite I think.

My dh told me that he thought it would be better not to use too many emblishments on this card as Roma is not a frilly person so this is what I came up with. For me I think a card is not complete unless I have some sort of emblishment. I love these fake dew drops that I bought in the candle section at Michael's. They add that extra little something that you need sometimes.

I am going up in my stamproom now to start something new so hopefully I will be back real soon to show you.

Take care

Yippee It's Friday!

I just love this cute image. It was so fun to color. I just have so much coloring with my copics. I think coloring is one of the reasons why I took up making cards. I have always missed coloring. When my daughter Staci was younger we spend many hours together coloring. She is grown up now so there is not much coloring anymore so cards are a great way of having fun coloring.

My favorite medium to color with is copics. I still am not completely thrilled with my coloring. Shading is just not my thing. I am working on it more and have found some wonderful videos on utube on the subject.

This is another Whipper Snapper stamp. I bought it months ago when my friend Kelly and I placed an order together. The shipping is so expensive that you really need to split the cost. Worked out great for both of us. Soon time to place another order I hope.

Hope you are enjoying the beginning of your weekend. I know for me I found this week so long that I am so glad that the work week is over. I really had a really bad week. Oh well, get over it and move on I guess.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Will be back soon with something new to show you.

I need to get back at the Card Sketches from Splitcoast.

Till later ...

Cheers

Whipper Snapper Birthday!

I bought this stamp awhile ago from Whipper Snapper. I really love the ease of coloring these stamps. They are such a pleasure to work with.

I like to keep some cards to have on hand so this is just one for my card drawer.

I bought this designer paper before Christmas for one of these fund raisers for school. It was a nice different variety of paper.

Sorry I wasn't here before now but I have had a number of things going on lately that kept me from the computer. Life just seems to get in the way of stamping way too much lately.

Will be back soon with another card to show you.

Enjoy your evening.

Cheers

Stampscapes Thank You Card!

I made this card for my dh. I always have so much fun using these stampscapes stamps. I wish that I had more of them to create some of the awesome images that people create on their website. I just can't believe the georgeous art work that people make from these stamps. Hopefully one day soon I will be able to show some of mine to you.

How was your weekend? For me I am finally on the mend a bit as I have had a bad neck and shoulder now for over a week. It has been a long week. Anyone who has had a pulled muscle knows how much pain you can be in. I hurt my heck and shoulders last weekend shovelling. Hopefully it will only be good days from here as I have to go back to work and am sure that I have alot to catch up on. Oh well! Such is life.

Hope you all have enjoyed your weekend.

Be back again tomorrow night with another card to show you.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hello Again!

I made this card for my dh to send to a friend for the loss of her husband. I always find Sympathy cards such a challenge but I really think that I should try and do up some to have on hand. It seems that we seem to need so many of these.

I am finally getting back into doing some stamping again after taking a break after Christmas. I always find that I make so much for Christmas that I need a break but this year I just took too much of a break. It is hard to get back at it but hopefully in time I will get my mojo back.

I do have more cards done to show you in the coming days.

I hope you all are enjoying your day!

See you again soon!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone. I hope you all are having a nice romantic day with the one that you love. This weekend both me and my dh have been under the weather. I hurt my back shovelling on Friday and dh just feels lousy so we have spend lots of time just watching TV together.

I managed to finish this card for my dh. He was pleased with how it turned out.

Later we are hoping to go out to dinner. We will see how we both feel.

I had this image colored about a week ago but just couldn't figure out what paper to use. When I found this paper in my stash then came what do I do with it. Then the tent card idea came to me last night when I was just lying there. I am pleased with how it turned out.

Today is also the anniversay of my Mom's passing. My Mom passed away 7 years ago today. Can't believe it has been that long. So for me Valentine's Day is hard but I have to push through it and that is what she would have preferred. She was also the type of person filled with such love of life even when she was sick. I think that is why she died on a day filled with so much love. Mom I miss you so much.
Thinking of you always.

Enjoy the rest of your Valentine's Day. Remember to tell the ones that you love how you feel about them.

Mouse Cat Toy!

Hope you all had a great week. I am so glad that it is Friday once again. This week seemed like two in one for some reason. I think it was because I just wasn't that busy at work. I would rather be busy than bored any day. Anyway ...

Before Christmas I was going all over town trying to get some play toys for my cats Oliver and Smokey and when I finally found them they were over a dollar each and my dog Lilly liked them a bit too much. She was eating them. We soon discovered that the centre of these toys looked like cement and I really didn't want Lilly eating them so I decided to do something about it.

I can't really take full credit for the design of these mice as we already had one of them here from our other cat Alex who passed away in August.

The pattern really is quite simple actually. It is only plain knitting. I started off with making them with 15 stitches and ended up only using 8 stiches. I found that my cats liked them better when they were smaller. I must have made about 15 of these so anyone I knew who had a cat I gave some to for Christmas. They are stuffed with catnip which makes the cats like them all the more.

They were a real hit anyway.

What do you think of them?

Hope you enjoy your weekend!

Last Christmas Card !

I made this card for my dh for Christmas. I knew as soon as I saw this image that I had to give it to him. I think I told you before how much I love snowmen.

I had so much fun coloring this image. Whipper Snapper Stamps are tops with me. They definately are my favorite. The paper is SU Blitzen I think it is called. I really liked it and of course that means put it away and don't use it. I thought it was time to dust if off and use it. I bought this last paper last year.

Will be back soon with something a little different. Mice that I made for my cat with a story of why I made them.

Enjoy your evening!

More Christmas Cards!

I made this card for my friend Kelly for Christmas. The image is from an order that we went in on the shipping to from Whipper Snapper. I just love their designs. They are so whimiscal and so fun to color. Snowmen are just my favorite thing for Christmas so when I saw this image I just had to buy it.

I got to use some more of my SU dp from last year. If I remember correct the name of it is Blitzen. I really like how it is traditional read and green colors. I am more of a traditional personson myself when it somes to Christmas.

I also used this design to make a card for my dh Ev. I will be back tomorrow night with that one to show you.

I guess by now everyone is back to work after a bit of a Christmas holiday. I for one wish that I could have taken more time Christmas. I always find that I am so busy doing things for Christmas that I just don't have time to enjoy the season like I would like to do.

Enjoy the rest of your evening!

Teacher Gifts!

I made four of each of these for Teacher Gifts for my daughters teachers and also used some for gifts. I really liked how they turned out. My friend Kelly came up with the idea and we did them together. I really enjoyed making these.

I will definately be making more of these next year. I really liked how they turned out and the people I gave them to really liked them as well.

I hope you all enjoyed your holiday season. I certainly did. I just love this time of year. The lights and the get togethers with family and friends is also so enjoyable.

After making these I found that I really liked altering things so I definately think that I will be spinning off to other altered projects this year.

I have a couple of more Christmas things to show you before I move on to other projects.

Friday, January 1
