Staci's Christmas Card!

I made this card for my daughter Staci. It is a little out of the box for me as it is so busy but I knew that she would like it. She was quite pleased with it. For me it is just too busy and not really my style but it is nice to do things that are different sometimes.

Snoopy is just so sweet. Everyone loves Snoopy and when I saw this card at Michaeal's a while ago I thought about Staci right away.

Well tomorrow is the dreaded day for me. Back to work. YUCK. I really don't want to go back yet. I would love to have a few more days but then after that I probably would like a few more. Oh well only working three days then off for four. That will keep me going this week.

I guess many of you are going back to work also. At least it will be a short week so we have that to look forward to.

Enjoy your day.

Ev's Christmas Card!

I made this card for my dh for Christmas. I bought these stamps a little while ago with the intentions of using it for him. It reminds me so much of our dog Lilly who is a Golden Labrador and our cat Alex. The only difference is that Alex has a bob-tail. I should have only stamped half the tail. Oh well, better luck next time. Ev was happy with how it turned out and so was I.

Have you done all your Christmas visiting yet? I have done all that I want to do and now I am just going to sit home and relax and take it easy.

I have more cards to show you so I will be back tomorrow with another one.

Enjoy your evening.

Merry Christmas To All!

Good evening

I hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Christmas. I know I did. I had a wonderful time spending time with my family and friends the past couple of days. It just seems so much nicer and happier this time of year. Not that I don't get to see my family and friends throughout the year but somehow at Christmas it is just more special.

I had a wonderful Christmas dinner at my sisters last night and it was just delicious. Awesome dinner Janet. Christmas Eve we had brunch at my sister Tanya's and that evening me, my dh and dd went over to my friend Debby's for our annual Christmas visit. Debby's family has always had a tradition of reciting The Night Before Christmas and as she does we all put ornaments on the tree from the story. We have done this for years with her and it is so nice that we get to help carry on her tradition as both her parents have passed on so it is nice that she carries it on through us and her son. We had a great evening.

I wanted to show you this card that my sister Tanya gave my daughter for Christmas. I thought it was beautiful. Staci did also.

I hope to be back again tomorrow to show you some other pictures from my Christmas card collection so to speak.

Have a great evening

Happy Boxing Day!

Great Day For A Snowman!

Strange weather here in Newfoundland today. One minute it looks like we are going to have a big snowstorm and the next the sun and shining and the snow has stopped. Strange indeed. It is pretty cold here today too. Would be a day to make a snowman like the one in this card. I made this card at my demo Deanne's CTMH card making night. We made a Halloween card and two Christmas cards. This is one of the cards that we made using the new CTMH set of the month of November. It is just so cute. You can change all the elements on the snowman that you want too. The possibilities are endless. I had a great time that night and met some new stamping friends. Always nice to meet new friends.

How are your Chistmas plans coming along? All your shoppping done? For me the answer is no I don't have everything done and I still have shopping to do but I am so glad to say that today I start my holidays and I am off work till the 29th of December. Yahoo... I really need a break from that place. Another story and not for now.

Enjoy your winter weather and happy stamping!

To You & Yours!

This image just reminds me of years gone by. Now look at me my age is showing. I remember using a sleigh like this one and how much fun it was. I bet there are lots of others who feel the same way.

I wasn't sure which color I would do this card in so I decided to try it in both. I think I prefer the red background better though.

I used my hand dandy cuttlebug to made the background for the card and used up some ribbon that I had bought years ago at the dollar store. I am trying to use up my scraps and my pile is getting quite large. I find I am buying too much and not using enough of the older stuff so I figured that it was due time to get to it.

How are you all doing with your holiday shopping? I was one fo the early bird shoppers yesterday morning at Sears so I got some great bargains and that make the trip so worth while.

Enjoy the season!

Until later

Christmas Eve Night!

When I first saw this stamp I automatically thought of Christmas Eve for some reason. It just made me feel at home in a cabin and that it what I would love to have.

I got to try out that new Dp from SU called Blitzen. Great colors and paper. I just love two sided paper.

I used some photo paper to stamp the image on so I could make the image stand out better and allow me to sponge on the paper with such ease.

Sorry to cut this short but I am off to make more cards. A woman's work is never done as they say. I was out shopping earlier with my daughter and that wasn't very productive so I need to be productive at something tonight. I definately can be at card making and lately I am on a roll so I have to stick with it.

Hope you are getting a jump start on your Christmas shopping. I bet some of you are better organized than I am and even have all the presents bought and wrapped. One day, one day I hope to be like that but I just find that there is just too much to do and not enough time to do it. I am looking forward to a bit of time off so I can just sit back and enjoy.

I am hoping to be back soon with some more creations, until then
Happy Stamping

Happy Birthday Tanya!

I made this card for my sister Tanya for her birthday last Saturday. She was 39. We have always been such cat lovers and when I saw this stamp at Michael's awhile ago I knew that I just had to add it to my collection. I think these Fluffles stamps are just so cute. I have a few in my stamp collection now.

Never got to see much of Tanya for her birthday as I was so busy on Saturday but I just had to take time and drop off this card for her. Tanya makes cards as well and I knew that she would enjoy Fluffles.

Sorry for having to cut this so short but I am off to making more cards. Work, work, work... Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.

Hope to be back soon with more Christmas cards.

Happy Stamping!

Paper Trees!

Hello everyone. Hope you are all getting your Christmas shopping and backing done. I have started by still have a long way to go. For some reason I just can't get into shopping this year. Now if it was shopping for stamping stuff I bet that I would be able. Strange isn't it. lol

I saw this design on SCS as well and knew that I would have to give it a try. It really wasn't that difficult. I just make my own template with a bit of cardboard and the rest was a snap.
I really like the way that it turned out. Not much stamping at all but still nice none the less I think.

What do you think?

Hope to see you again soon.

Another Merry Little Elf!

I saw this card on Splitcoast and thought that it was just so cute I knew that I just had to try it. I thought that it would be a good seller.

I can't seem to get enough of these little elves. It seems that every once in a while there is a set that you just can't seem to put down and this Christmas it has to be this set. I think they are just such sweet happy little elves and they make me smile.

What do you think?

Recipe:

Embossed Christmas!

Hello everyone:

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. It is beginning to snow here this morning. Yuck. I am not a winter person.

This is another card that I made to try and sell. I can't take full credit for the idea as I copied it from someone at Splitcoast(girl3boys). When I first saw it I knew that I just had to try one and I have to say that I am quite pleased with how it turned out.

I have been really busy lately making cards so I have many examples to show you over the next little while.

I hope to be back real soon with more to show you.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
