Whipper Snappers Hello Neighbor!

I bought this stamps set by Anna Wright from Whipper Snapper awhile ago now. I have used it before. It is called "Hello Neighbor". I bought it with the intention of making Thank You cards for my husbands business. He does house plans for people.
He likes to send thank you cards to I told him that I would use this set in some of his thank you cards. So far it has worked out well for me.

This card took me a long time to color as I was so picky that I kept doing it again and again. I think in all it took me two hours to get to this finished product. Way too long but it was a fun time. I have to admit. Coloring is just so realxing. I watercolored it with SU markers. I just love the colors. I actually was inspired to make this card from some examples that we received from Whipper Snapper when we placed our order. This card is alot like the sample but I added my own twist and used the cuttlebug for the background instead of dp. I have to say that I am pleased with how it turned out but I wish that I would have used my nesties on this one. I think they would have set it off wonderfully. Oh well maybe next time. I am sure that I will have more opportunities to use this set again.

I hope to get at some more cards the weekend.

Enjoy your weekend and take care

Graduation Time Again!

I made this card to give a friend of my dh as she got her degree at Memorial University doing night courses. It must be really hard working full time and getting a degree in the nights. Roma good for you girl!

This is another Whipper Snapper stamp that I bought awhile ago and never had a reason to use it until now. These stamps are just so fun to color. They are quickly becoming my favorite I think.

My dh told me that he thought it would be better not to use too many emblishments on this card as Roma is not a frilly person so this is what I came up with. For me I think a card is not complete unless I have some sort of emblishment. I love these fake dew drops that I bought in the candle section at Michael's. They add that extra little something that you need sometimes.

I am going up in my stamproom now to start something new so hopefully I will be back real soon to show you.

Take care

Yippee It's Friday!

I just love this cute image. It was so fun to color. I just have so much coloring with my copics. I think coloring is one of the reasons why I took up making cards. I have always missed coloring. When my daughter Staci was younger we spend many hours together coloring. She is grown up now so there is not much coloring anymore so cards are a great way of having fun coloring.

My favorite medium to color with is copics. I still am not completely thrilled with my coloring. Shading is just not my thing. I am working on it more and have found some wonderful videos on utube on the subject.

This is another Whipper Snapper stamp. I bought it months ago when my friend Kelly and I placed an order together. The shipping is so expensive that you really need to split the cost. Worked out great for both of us. Soon time to place another order I hope.

Hope you are enjoying the beginning of your weekend. I know for me I found this week so long that I am so glad that the work week is over. I really had a really bad week. Oh well, get over it and move on I guess.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Will be back soon with something new to show you.

I need to get back at the Card Sketches from Splitcoast.

Till later ...

Cheers

Whipper Snapper Birthday!

I bought this stamp awhile ago from Whipper Snapper. I really love the ease of coloring these stamps. They are such a pleasure to work with.

I like to keep some cards to have on hand so this is just one for my card drawer.

I bought this designer paper before Christmas for one of these fund raisers for school. It was a nice different variety of paper.

Sorry I wasn't here before now but I have had a number of things going on lately that kept me from the computer. Life just seems to get in the way of stamping way too much lately.

Will be back soon with another card to show you.

Enjoy your evening.

Cheers

Stampscapes Thank You Card!

I made this card for my dh. I always have so much fun using these stampscapes stamps. I wish that I had more of them to create some of the awesome images that people create on their website. I just can't believe the georgeous art work that people make from these stamps. Hopefully one day soon I will be able to show some of mine to you.

How was your weekend? For me I am finally on the mend a bit as I have had a bad neck and shoulder now for over a week. It has been a long week. Anyone who has had a pulled muscle knows how much pain you can be in. I hurt my heck and shoulders last weekend shovelling. Hopefully it will only be good days from here as I have to go back to work and am sure that I have alot to catch up on. Oh well! Such is life.

Hope you all have enjoyed your weekend.

Be back again tomorrow night with another card to show you.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hello Again!

I made this card for my dh to send to a friend for the loss of her husband. I always find Sympathy cards such a challenge but I really think that I should try and do up some to have on hand. It seems that we seem to need so many of these.

I am finally getting back into doing some stamping again after taking a break after Christmas. I always find that I make so much for Christmas that I need a break but this year I just took too much of a break. It is hard to get back at it but hopefully in time I will get my mojo back.

I do have more cards done to show you in the coming days.

I hope you all are enjoying your day!

See you again soon!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone. I hope you all are having a nice romantic day with the one that you love. This weekend both me and my dh have been under the weather. I hurt my back shovelling on Friday and dh just feels lousy so we have spend lots of time just watching TV together.

I managed to finish this card for my dh. He was pleased with how it turned out.

Later we are hoping to go out to dinner. We will see how we both feel.

I had this image colored about a week ago but just couldn't figure out what paper to use. When I found this paper in my stash then came what do I do with it. Then the tent card idea came to me last night when I was just lying there. I am pleased with how it turned out.

Today is also the anniversay of my Mom's passing. My Mom passed away 7 years ago today. Can't believe it has been that long. So for me Valentine's Day is hard but I have to push through it and that is what she would have preferred. She was also the type of person filled with such love of life even when she was sick. I think that is why she died on a day filled with so much love. Mom I miss you so much.
Thinking of you always.

Enjoy the rest of your Valentine's Day. Remember to tell the ones that you love how you feel about them.

Mouse Cat Toy!

Hope you all had a great week. I am so glad that it is Friday once again. This week seemed like two in one for some reason. I think it was because I just wasn't that busy at work. I would rather be busy than bored any day. Anyway ...

Before Christmas I was going all over town trying to get some play toys for my cats Oliver and Smokey and when I finally found them they were over a dollar each and my dog Lilly liked them a bit too much. She was eating them. We soon discovered that the centre of these toys looked like cement and I really didn't want Lilly eating them so I decided to do something about it.

I can't really take full credit for the design of these mice as we already had one of them here from our other cat Alex who passed away in August.

The pattern really is quite simple actually. It is only plain knitting. I started off with making them with 15 stitches and ended up only using 8 stiches. I found that my cats liked them better when they were smaller. I must have made about 15 of these so anyone I knew who had a cat I gave some to for Christmas. They are stuffed with catnip which makes the cats like them all the more.

They were a real hit anyway.

What do you think of them?

Hope you enjoy your weekend!

Last Christmas Card !

I made this card for my dh for Christmas. I knew as soon as I saw this image that I had to give it to him. I think I told you before how much I love snowmen.

I had so much fun coloring this image. Whipper Snapper Stamps are tops with me. They definately are my favorite. The paper is SU Blitzen I think it is called. I really liked it and of course that means put it away and don't use it. I thought it was time to dust if off and use it. I bought this last paper last year.

Will be back soon with something a little different. Mice that I made for my cat with a story of why I made them.

Enjoy your evening!

More Christmas Cards!

I made this card for my friend Kelly for Christmas. The image is from an order that we went in on the shipping to from Whipper Snapper. I just love their designs. They are so whimiscal and so fun to color. Snowmen are just my favorite thing for Christmas so when I saw this image I just had to buy it.

I got to use some more of my SU dp from last year. If I remember correct the name of it is Blitzen. I really like how it is traditional read and green colors. I am more of a traditional personson myself when it somes to Christmas.

I also used this design to make a card for my dh Ev. I will be back tomorrow night with that one to show you.

I guess by now everyone is back to work after a bit of a Christmas holiday. I for one wish that I could have taken more time Christmas. I always find that I am so busy doing things for Christmas that I just don't have time to enjoy the season like I would like to do.

Enjoy the rest of your evening!

Teacher Gifts!

I made four of each of these for Teacher Gifts for my daughters teachers and also used some for gifts. I really liked how they turned out. My friend Kelly came up with the idea and we did them together. I really enjoyed making these.

I will definately be making more of these next year. I really liked how they turned out and the people I gave them to really liked them as well.

I hope you all enjoyed your holiday season. I certainly did. I just love this time of year. The lights and the get togethers with family and friends is also so enjoyable.

After making these I found that I really liked altering things so I definately think that I will be spinning off to other altered projects this year.

I have a couple of more Christmas things to show you before I move on to other projects.

Of course my daughter Staci is hoping that it will continue tomorrow and she will have no school. Who knows. We will have to wait and see. Right now I am so glad that all my family is home and safe. Last card from the CTMH workshop!

This is such a versatile set. I think I will definately be using it alot to make my Christmas cards. It is a new set from CTMH this year called Holiday Trinkets. This is a set of 14 and in case you never noticed I used this card on my other card which had the trees on it. Very versatile set indeed.

The new paper is called Jingle and I think it is just so cute.

Listen to me I sound like an avertisement for CTMH. Well when you find something that you like you should tell others about it I think. I really like the CTMH sets. I prefer the acrylic sets over the rubber ones. They are just so easy to use and and you can see where you want to place them on the paper before yous stamp.

I hope you all are getting ahead of your Christmas crafts. So much work and so little time to do them.

Will be back soon with some teacher sets to show you.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

How are you all doing with your Christmas preparations? For years I have been behind and rush to catch up and it seems that this year is going to be the same. I had really hoped that this wouldn't be the case but ...

Recipe:

Paper - white and DP Jingle by CTMH (great paper)
Accessories - liquid applique, punch

Be back soon with the last one to show you.

Keep Smiling

Second CTMH Workshop Card!

This is the second card that I made at the CTMH workshop last weekend. I prefer this layout to the others. I prefer the curve at the bottom than the side.

This card I used the new set called Holiday Trinkets. It is a pretty versatile set I think and I have another card that I made using this set as well to show you soon.

Hope you all are getting lots of work started on your Christmas cards and of course shopping. I haven't started my shopping yet but I will real soon.

I will be back soon with another card to show you from the workshop.

Enjoy your evening.

Been Awhile!

Last weekend I was at a CTMH workshop where we made 24 cards. I decided to make 6 of four different designs. I never wanted to make 24 of the same design.

It was alot of fun but it is always so nice to get out with stamping friends and be productive.

This is the first of four that I will be showing you.

I have been busy lately making cards and projects with friends. I have lots to show over the next little while.

This set is called Ms. Holiday Cheer. It is so fun. I think my daughters friends will like this one for sure.

Recipe:

Stamps: Ms. Holiday Cheer
Paper: Jingle, White
Ink: Tulip
Accessories: punch and liquid applique

See you again tomorrow with a different card

Well Hello Doggie!

I made this birthday card for my daughter to give to her friend for her birthday. S he was pleased with how it turned out.

I bought this image from Whipper Snapper a little while ago. I think it is just so cute. One can never have enough dog stamps when you are an animal lover.

Hope you all are enjoying your Halloween night. We haven't had many trick or treaters tonight at all. I guess it has something to do with the H1N1. Can't blame people on keeping their kids home.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I will be back soon with another card to show you.

Cheers!

Pointsettia!

Hello again. I hope you all are feeling well and not getting that aweful virus H1N1.
So far me and my family haven't been sick with it. We are lucky so far. Hopefully it will stay that way.

I bought this stamp at a lss here in St. John's last year but never got around to using it. I think you may just see a few more cards using this stamp. I embossed this image first and then I watercolored it with reinkers. I enjoy coloring and this is the newest one for me to try and master. Master is the right word but you know what I mean if you have tried many different mediums to color with. Anyway ..

I will be back tomorrow with another card that I made using A Whipper Snapper Dog stamp that I have used before but think he is just so cute. I made this for my daughter to give to her friend Gabby for her birthday. She really liked it.

Stay warm, enjoy the weekend!
