An oldie But A Goodie!

When I was browsing Splitcoast Stampers today there was a thread asking people to post one of their favorite cards that they made. I took some time and went through my gallery and realized that this was one of my favorites and it wasn't posted on my blog so I thought that I would share it with you.

It took a long time to make but it was well worth the effort. The flowers were made with paint color cards that I had picked up from some of our local hardware places. It was the first time th at I ever tried this technique called "Faux Cloisonne". In the example that I saw they used magazine pages but I thought these would be easier and of course less work. No looking through all kinds of magazines to get the colors that you like. The stamp sets are In Full Bloom and one of the older SAB sets called Noteworthy.

Well, tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I hope you all have a wonderful evening with the one you love.

Will be back soon.

Karen that is just beautiful! I have not done that technique but you may have spurred me on.

This card is awesome. I always wanted that set, but never got around to getting it.

You are oh so right! This stamp set is an oldy, but certainly a goodie! Truth is, I always felt "In Full Bloom"-impaired. Which is strange in that I adored the creations with this set! Thanks for the great new look at it!
