Teacher Cards!
I used the Gina K set called Owl Always Love You for teacher cards that I made for my daugthter Staci. The round card was for her female teachers and the rectangle one is for her male teachers. I am quite pleased with how it turned out. I just love these little owls. I think they are so cute. Staci was pleased with them and apparently she got big hugs from all her teachers for them. That made me happy.
Where did this school year go. I can't beleive that it is over today. Next year Staci goes to High School. It seems like only yesterday that she was born and so small and innocent. Wow! Time sure does fly. Listen to me my age is starting to show. lol
Now Staci has a wonderful summer ahead of her and hopefully the weather will be good. This week here has been wonderful. The temperatures are in the 20s and for us that is a goodie indeed.
Enjoy your summer Staci! Hope it doesn't go by too fast for you.

Happy Father's Day!
Today here in St. John's the weather is drizzle and rain and it really wasn't the kind of weekend that I wanted but it did allow me to get some things done on the inside for a change.
As soon as I saw this set when it was released last month I knew that I would have to buy it and use it for a card for my Dad as he truly is "King of the Grill" for sure. Everything he cooks on it is exceptional. Tks Dad for all the great meals.
I saw a card made on SCS using red and white paper but Mothermark used paperweaving and I decided that I would see if I could get some paper like this but checked everywhere and then me and my daughter were at McDonalds having an ice cream and then in with the muffins I saw this paper and I asked the girl if I could have a piece of it and she gladly gave me some. It sure made my evening for sure. I came home and right away stated in making this card. I am really pleased with how it turned out. What do you think?
For all you Father's out there. Happy Father's Day and I hope that your wives and children are good to you. My dh is working again tomorrow night so my daughter is getting up early to give him the card that I posted earlier the week and a Terry Goodkind Book that he has been wanted for awhile now. We are also going to cook him his favorite meal tomorrow which is bbq pork chops.
Recipe:
Stamps: Gina K King of The Grill
Ink: Pallett Noir, Close to Cocoa, checkered paper from McDonalds
Accessories: Cuttlebug and embossing folder, crop-a-dial, brads
Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Cheers

Father's Day
Haven't been around lately much as we have been busy preparing our community garden and this year we decided to also try out some container gardening outside our deck.
If all works out well, I will post pictures of our crop.
I made this card for my DH for Father's Day. It is supposed to represent our dog Lilly but the color is all wrong. I tried copics and pencils and just couldn't come up with the right color. Knowing me I will end up taking this apart before Father's Day to change it. I also had this card completed and then decided that I prefer it 5 x 5 so I changed the card front. I love this card sketch. It is last weeks challenge. I am a bit behind but better late than never. I immediately pictured using this set for this challenge when I saw it posted last week. I am pleased with how it turned out except the color of the dog.
I will be back later this week to post a card that I am making for my Dad for Father's Day using the new Gina K set called "King of the Grill" As soon as I saw that I just had to have it for my Dad.
Recipe:
Stamps: For Father by SU
Paper: Whispering White, Close to Cocoa and More Mustard SU, DP called Cats and Dog
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Primsacolor pencils, taltine and stump and bone charm.
Hope you all have a great week.
