Congrats Riley On Your Blackbelt!

My Dad asked me to make a card to congratulate my cousins daughter on obtaining her blackbelt. This is truly a wonderful accomplishment and I really wanted to make it speacial for her. My Dad thinks an aweful lot of this girl and he had never asked me to make him a card before so this card had to be special.

I have to say that I am really pleased at how it turned out. There wasn't much stamping on this card only to make the background paper with the words Karate and Blackbelt. I never had any paper that I thought was appropriate so I remember seeing a background like this on someone's blog a while ago. I am sorry that I can't remember to give her credit.

I really hope my Dad and Riley like this card. I think they will though.

Valentine's Book & Pen

I spent the afternoon with my friend Kelly yesterday and this is one of the projects that we made. I had a great afternoon and it gave us a chance to catch up and spend time together doing what we both love so much. Tks Kelly for a great afternoon.

I always find it hard getting back to making cards after Christmas as I always find that I need a bit of time off. For me I make so many cards and Christmas things that I actually turn myself off for a bit. It feel good to be back at it though.

Should be back again tomorrow night with the other project that we made.

Hope you all are enjoying your evening.

I Am A Seamstress!

Isn't that a joke. Me an seamstress. I think not! For anyone who knows me they know this could not be further from the truth. This is the first card that I have even sewn on. What do you think? For the first time I don't think it is too bad. I have had this particular sewing machine for almost three years now and to tell you the truth I never ever put thread into it until this week. Shame on me. Since it was such a long time since I used one I guess I was a bit intimidated. Not good I know. Well it is conquered now. I think I need better thread though. This stuff keeps cracking.

How are you all doing? Been awhile since I was on here. I thought it was high time that I got back at creating again. I want to make a bunch of cards to have on hand for occasions that come up.

The cat on this card is from on old SU set that I ordered on SCS a few years back called Cattitude. This cat just cracks me up. He reminds me of a ginger cat that we used to have named Misty. He always seemed to looks all pissed off too.

The paper is from a pack I bought a few years back at Walmart called Cats and Dogs.
There are alot of cute papers in there and over the next while you might get to see more of it as I build my card collection.

Hope you all are enjoying your week.

Be back probably on the weekend with another card.

Take care

Long Time Friend Retirement!

I made this card for my dh to give to a friend at his work that recently retired. He has always wanted more time to do some gardening so I thought this stamp set would be appropriate. My DH was pleased with how it turned out.

This is just a short post today as I am heading out to get some more Christmas stuff done.

Hope you making out well with your holiday plans.

Take care

Be back soon.

Another Digital Image!

I just love this sweet image. It was one of my favorites that I saw on the Whimsy Website. They have such wonderful images over there. Listen to me I sound like an advertisement. lol

I had a bit of trouble sizing this image as I wanted to use it with some of my new nestabilities that I got. This one is labels 15 I think.

How are you getting along with all your Christmas plans. Mine are almost finished. Did a bit more shopping today. Don't have much more to get. Just a few little things. I am hoping to have it all done tomorrow.

This image is from Whimsy Stamps and it is called "Warm Winter Wishes"

Enjoy your evening.

Be back tomorrow with a card that is not for Christmas for a change. It is a retirement card that I made for my dh to give to a friend.

1st Time Using Digital Stamps

Hello Everyone

Hope you all are doing well with your Christmas preparations. Mine are a bit behind but then they are every year. Why should I think this year will be any different. lol

I made this card recently using my first digital stamp purchase at Whimsy Stamps. It is an image called Trimming The Tree. I have to say that after using these digital stamps I will definately be buying more. They don't take up much room compared to the others. Whimsy stamps has a great collection of images that are so fun to color. They remind me of the Whipper Snapper images. I love to color both of these type of images.

I will be back tomorrow with another Digital Image to show you.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and don't worry about the preparations. If you don't get it all done then there is always next year.

Tuesday, November 30

I have to appologize for not getting back on here to show you any new projects.

I have been too busy lately and ended up hurting my neck again.

I will hopefully be back again tomorrow evening.

Take care

Penguins in Echo Park

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I spent alot of time this weekend making cards so that hopefully I could sell some. Always nice to make a bit of extra money so that you can buy more new craft items.

This paper me and my friend Kelly bought from the US and it is from Echo Park. This is the first card that I made using the paper. The ribbon I did a bit of a different way and I like the way that it turned out. Nice change. Not sure if I did it right or not but it is different.

How are you all doing with your Christmas preparations? This year for the first time in years I am a bit ahead. Nice cause then the closer it gets to Christmas the more time I will have to relax. I always have so much last minute things to get done. Hopefully I won't get behind on all the rest of the things that I need to do.

Spend the afternoon at my friend Kelly's and met a new stamping friend called Melanie. It was a nice afternoon and hopefully we can get together again real soon.
Tks once again Kelly.

Tonight I am just sitting back and relaxing for a change. My poor neck needs the rest. Back to work again tomorrow. The weekends go by so fast.

I will be back tomorrow with some tags that I made today at Kelly's.

Ornaments

How are you all doing with your Christmas preparations? Can't believe only one month away it Christmas Day. Seems like only last week it was Christmas. Guess that is a true sign that I am definately getting older.

Anyway .. back to the card.

I made this card the other night and I can't quite say that I am completely pleased with it. For me it lacks something. My daughter tells me I am just too picky.

I have had this set of stamps for a couple of years now and never seemed to get around to inking it up for a card. Had a few things done with it that I never liked and threw out. Maybe I am too picky.

I will be back on the weekend with some new cards to show you.

Enjoy the rest of your evening !

Cardinal Christmas!

I bought this paper last year marked down after Christmas. It is Martha Stewart. I had a few different cardinal stamps and thought that the paper would be fun to use.
I am pleased with how this card turned out. It is the first one that I colored for awhile. I colored it with my copics. So nice to use them again. They are definately my favorite coloring medium.

I have been busy trying to get a number of cards made to sell. I am hoping to start to sell them this weekend. I need to get a few more done yet though so you will have more to come back and look at real soon.

I still have a couple of cards from the Basic Grey kit to show you. Come back tomorrow for a peak.

Enjoy your evening!

Cricut Snowmen!

Good evening all. I hope where you are to is warm. It sure is chilly here in Newfoundland tonight. I think with the wind chill it is about -12 degrees C. Colder than it has been here in a long time.

This chilly weather is fitting for the snowmen that I wanted to show you. I was over to my friend Kelly's and she cut these snowmen and tags out with her Cricut. Aren't they the cutest thing. I really like them and hope to get over to here place again soon and make more.

Come back again tomorrow as I have another new card that I have made to show you.

Enjoy your evening

Hope You Enjoyed Your Weekend!

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I sure did. For the first time in months me and my dh actually went out and spent an evening with another couple. We had a great time. A nice change indeed. One that I hope we can do again real soon.

I have to say a big thank you to Sheila at Scrappin Great Deals for cancelling my order and allowing me to pay for it again so that I could get it more quickly. I had a little trouble with my palpal account (completely my fault) and when I went to pay for my order it came up that I was paying with echeck and I don't know if you have ever had to do that but it seems to take forever to get your order. I am looking forward to getting the order as I ordered some new Nestabilities that I hope to show you something with as soon as I get them.

The card above was made with the Jovial card kit. I am almost finished showing you them. I have something a little different for you tomorrow night. I have some tags to show you that me and my friend Kelly made using her Cricut. They are so cute and easy to make.

Enjoy what is left of your evening.

Continuining On With Jovial Card Kit

Sorry I missed last night but I have had a couple of difficult days at work for my neck. Had to relax a bit more.

I really like the look of this card. I can't wait till I get my Jovial paper that I ordered with my freind Kelly. I am hoping to be inspired by the paper.

I still have more cards to show you in this kit. Come back tomorrow for another card in the Jovial Card Kit.

Enjoy your evening!

Moving On With the Jovial Kit

This is the fourth card from the Jovial kit. I can't say that these cards have been hard to make at all. I don't really enjoy doing them as much as I would if I stamped and colored them. I guess it is good to try new things.

Hopefully this week I will get more cards stamped and I may even get some of them colored.

I find since I have had this pinched nerve that coloring is hard for me and it is the one thing that I really loved to do more than anything. Hopefully soon I will be able to get back at it.

Well today is hump day.

Enjoy your evening.

I have another card to show you tomorrow.

Still Working on the Jovial Card Kit

Here is another card made with the Basic Grey Jovial card kit. I have to say that so far I like this one the least. It just doesn't do it for me for some reason. I think it is a bit too plain for me.

I still have a few more cards to show you from this kit. There are a few really nice ones coming in the near future as well.

Be back tomorrow with another one to show you.

Enjoy your day :-)

Another Card From The Jovial Kit!

This is antoher card from the Jovial Card Kit. I like the ease of these cards and I really like the colors in this one. I guess for some it will be too dark but I think it is a nice addition to my Christmas Cards. I really like the long cards and for some reason I haven't done any of these in a long time.

Will be back tomorrow with another card from the kit to show you.

Hope you are enjoying your week so far.

First Card from the Jovial Card Kit!

This card was made with the Basic Grey Kit called Jovial. It is the fist time that I
ever bought a card kit and it was fun to do but I have to say that I do prefer to stamp my cards and put them together my way. I do like the color of the papers and everything but it will probably be the first and last time that I buy one.

This is the first card that I made from this kit. It was also the first time that I used rub ons and I think they take a bit of practice. I managed to ruin a couple of them but I did get the hang of it after a bit.

I have more of these cards to show you over the next few days.

Scenic Season

I made this card using a Su set called Scenic Season that I bought last year. We made a card pretty similiar to this last year at our card class but I changed it a bit. I used the moon mask and changed the color from Night of Navy to Pacific Point. I had some of the paper because it was in in color before. I am so glad that they brought it back again. I also used photo paper instead of whisper white.

I hope the weather is as nice where you are as it is here today. I just love the sunshine. These days are a real bonus this time of year.

Gotta go and enjoy some more of your day

Come back tomorrow and I have some cards from a basic grey card kit to shart showing you.

Enjoy your day!

Delightful Decoration

This is another one of the cards that I have made to sell. I am not quite sure if I really like it or not but I think that it will do. This set is just so versatile and you will probably see more creations that I make with it.

Hope you are enjoying your day where ever you are from. Today is just a georgeous day here in Newfoundland so I am off to take my dog for a walk to enjoy a bit more of the day.

I will be back tomorrow with another of my Christmas Creations. I hope you won't get too sick of looking at Christmas cards because I do plan on making alot more of them yet.

Next week I will have my new Su papers and I have some ideas for that paper going around in my head already.

Stay tuned soon

Take care
